A partner of national law firm, Sparke Helmore, Phillip is the National Practice Group leader for the Business, Government and Technology team. Before joining Sparke Helmore, he was a Deputy Director and Senior Government Solicitor with the NSW Office of Australian Government Solicitor, where, among other things, he headed the Business and Commercial Team.
Phillip received the Law Society of NSW Excellence Award in Government Legal Service in 1998.

He specialises in commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation, with emphasis on building, construction, engineering and technology-related disputes, acting both as counsel and arbitrator, mediator, appraiser or court-appointed referee on a regular basis. Mr Wensley is a former member and chairperson of the Queensland Building Tribunal, and has served as an acting judge. Currently Mr Wensley is a member of the Senate ( Governing Body) of the University of Queensland, elected by graduates, and is the Deputy Chancellor of the University

Dr Michael White QC

Previously, Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Australian Navy. Graduated B.Com. (1973 Qld) and LLB (1974 Qld) and, later, PhD (Law) (1994, Bond) with a thesis on marine pollution laws. Barrister for 24 years in Brisbane, and made Queen's Counsel in 1988. Full time academic at UQ from 1999 – 2004 at TC Beirne School of Law, former Executive Director of The Centre for Maritime Law, now The Marine & Shipping Law Unit. Has published widely in maritime law and history and has held and holds various offices in maritime and other organizations.
