THE PATHOLOGY OF CORPORATE LAW

THEMES AND TOPICS

Contributors are invited to submit papers on any aspect of company law. However, in keeping with the theme of the Conference, the organisers would especially like to receive papers on the following topics:

  • Agency Cost Problems
  • Minority Protection – The Role and Importance of Legal Protection of Minority Rights
  • The Company as Criminal
  • Corporate Governance Issues for SMEs
  • Accountability and the Trans-National Corporation

OFFICIAL CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Corporate Law Teachers Association and the TC Beirne School of Law, The University of Queensland, invite the submission of papers for presentation at the forthcoming conference which will be held on the theme The Pathology of Corporate Law. Papers on any aspect of company law will be considered.

The keynote speakers are:

  • Professor Deborah DeMott, School of Law, Duke University
  • Professor Lynn A. Stout, UCLA School of Law

ABSTRACT RECEIPT DATE

Papers will be selected on the basis of an abstract of no more than 150 words. Abstracts should be submitted by email to Dr Larelle Chapple, l.chapple@law.uq.edu.au by the 26 November.

For those wishing to participate in the Best Paper Prize, which is sponsored by Chartered Secretaries Australia, the deadline for submission of eligible papers is Monday, 9th January 2006.
