 Undergraduate Students

Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

Duration 4 years full-time. Part-time equivalent available to domestic students.
Program Requirements (pre-2008) 64 units (#) comprising # 40 from the Bachelor of Laws Compulsory Course List; # 20 from the Bachelor of Laws Elective Course List; and # 4 of non-law electives at any level from any school in the University approved by the Executive Dean
Program Requirements (2008)

64 units (#) from the LLB List comprising #38 of compulsory courses from Part A; and #18 of elective courses from Parts B and/or C; and #8 of non-law electives (of which only #4 may be at level 1) from any combination of the following list of majors within the Bachelor of Arts: Ancient History, Chinese, Classical Languages, Classical Studies, Criminology, Economics, English, French, German, History, Japanese, Korean, Linguistics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Policy, Russian, Sociology, or Spanish.

Students who wish to satisfy the academic requirements for admission to the legal profession in Queensland MUST include LAWS5215 Civil Procedure, LAWS5216 Law of Evidence and LAWS5217 The Legal Profession as part of the #18 of elective courses.
