 LAWASIA Journal - call for papers 2008


LAWASIA Journal is published under the General Editorship of Professor Suri Ratnapala, Ms Lisa Toohey and Dr Jonathan Crowe within the Centre for Public, International and Comparative Law, TC Beirne School of Law, The University of Queensland.

The Editorial Board includes prestigious scholars and members of the judiciary from the Asia Pacific Region.

The Editors invite submission of articles for the 2008 Volume, to be published in November/December 2008. Articles may be on any legal topic of interest to lawyers and legal academics in the Asia Pacific region.

Articles may be 4,000 to 10,000 words in length. Articles should be submitted in Microsoft Word 6.0 or later version, single-spaced (including footnotes), in 12pt Times New Roman font. They should contain short useful headings and must be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 200 words. An introductory note should be inserted before the first footnote, containing biographical information in the form in which authors wish it to appear in the LAWASIA Journal. References must be in footnotes following the Australian Guide to Legal Citation, 1998, Melbourne: Melbourne University Law Review Association. The Guide may be accessed via http://mulr.law.unimelb.edu.au/aglc.asp.

The deadline for submissions for the 2008 issue is 30 June 2008.

All articles appearing in the Journal are refereed. The process of refereeing takes about two months after which authors will be notified of the Editors’ decision.

Submission of articles will be held to imply that they contain original unpublished material and are not currently submitted for publication elsewhere. No liability is accepted for loss or damage to material submitted. Subject to contrary written agreement with the author, copyright in all material accepted for publication will be assigned to LAWASIA.
