Master of Laws (Advanced) Outline

The Master of Laws (Advanced) (LLM (Adv)) requires students to undertake 20 units (#) of courses from the Master of Laws Course List and a dissertation of 4 units.

Duration 1.5 years full-time or part-time equivalent

International students must undertake this program on campus at UQ on a full-time basis to be eligible to apply for an Australian student visa

Total units (#) 24
Commencing semester Semester 1 (February) or Semester 2 (July)
Location St Lucia campus
Entry requirements Bachelor of Laws OR barrister or solicitor of 3 years standing OR approved equivalent qualification
Qualification awarded Master of Laws (Advanced) (LLM (Adv))
Further study options Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy
Courses Master of Laws Course List
Credit on the basis of Practical Legal Training Students who have undertaken PLT are eligible for a 2-course credit towards the LLM (Adv) program at UQ
