The scholars listed below all share interests in philosophy of law or legal theory. Their work encompasses a wide range of issues including the nature and concept of law, issues in constitutional design and theory, the ethical basis of legal institutions, the nature and extent of legal obligation and authority, the structure of legal and political discourse, feminist and postmodern legal theories, and theories of corrective and distributive justice. As well as investigating these general topics, scholars within the Law School are also exploring the foundations of specific areas of law, such as restitution, tort law, intellectual property and the law of evidence.
