Research scholars within the Law School have long focussed on the relationship between citizen and State power and the law relating to governance generally. Their work is diverse and encompasses the fields of constitutional law and administrative law as well as the law governing courts and adjudication. The topics of special interest to these scholars include constitutionalism, constitutional interpretation, comparative constitutional law, federalism, bills of rights, electoral law and practice, institutional theory, immigration and refugee law, social welfare law, the appropriate limits of State intervention and evidentiary theory and practice.
