The TC Beirne School of Law possesses significant research expertise in the area of transnational law, with much of this expertise being concentrated in the Centre for Public, International and Comparative Law. The interests of scholars include: traditional public international law; comparative law; international trade law (including the World Trade Organization); maritime law; international law of the sea; the law of international organizations, comparative constitutional law; international human rights law; international humanitarian law; European Union law; law relating to terrorism, human trafficking and other transnational organised crime; comparative corporate law; environmental law and policy; international tax; customary law; Islamic law; and the law and legal systems of Asia and the Pacific Island States.
